My Other Ride Is A Raptor

4.17.09

Tomorrow I’ll recap the Seeker’s Dinner I went to last night, but today I want to talk about the f’ing mosquitos chewing up my legs. I’ve done a lot of protective measures, but they keep biting the same damned spot between my pant cuffs and my socks.

To treat the bites, I’ve tried nearly everything (cortisone cream, calamine lotion, chinese anti-mosquito stuff, scotch tape, etc.). So I’m making my own salve– 5 dissolved ibuprofens with 2 dissolved zyrtecs with baking soda for topical application. I’ll let you know how it works… if it doesn’t kill me first.

  1. The only mosquito prevention I’ve known to work is to not go outside. If you have to go outside, wear 8 layers of varying materials.

Mosquitoes always go for my ankles.
