Dumplinganger

Dumplinger

Dumplingful

Yesterday, I went to Brian and Emilee’s house where Brian and I transformed 6.2 pounds of pork, veggies, and wrappers into almost 300 dumplings. It took a lot of willpower to avoid boiling and frying them all on the spot. But that didn’t stop us from boiling and frying a lot of them on the spot. Work, meet reward.

Wow,very impressive! They are looks big, did you have problem to cook fully w/o broken? Need tips of how to cook? Did you make the wrappers yourself? If you like, you can buy frozen wrap in the 99 Market and anytime just make dumplings.

It took several hours, I’d say. Hard to judge because we stopped halfway through to eat a bunch.

We bought the wrappers at 99 ranch. Some of them broke because they were overstuffed (we ran out of wrappers), but most were okay (some stuck to the bottom of the boiling pot and broke). We put egg yolk and corn starch in the mix to sop up some of the liquid so it wouldn’t break when boiling.

  4. See this, Mike? The key to blog comments is in dumplings.

Were you able to freeze the leftovers? This post and the pictures of hundreds of dumplings leaves me feeling hungry.
