Our research focuses on genetic and biological factors that place individuals at risk for developing psychopathology, particularly Major Depressive Disorder. In particular, Michael studies neurological development, neuroendocrinology, and sleep disorders. He received his bachelor’s degree in psychology- behavioral neuroscience from Yale University, where he studied animal models of epilepsy. He received his master’s degree in psychology at Stanford University, and he is completing a Ph.D. in Psychology also from Stanford University.
